Plastic Packaging is a full service, fully integrated flexible packaging company with two manufacturing locations in North Carolina and seven sales offices throughout the United States. PPI began in 1957 and is a privately held, non-union, ESOP company. With headquarters and manufacturing in Hickory and manufacturing in Forest City, we can meet our customers needs for printing, laminating and slitting for roll stock, bags and pouches. PPI is dedicated to innovation, quality, customer service and sustainability. In the past year we received an FTA award for printing excellence, a superior AIB rating and the Sustainable Green Printer Certification.

PPI has over 45 years printing experience and over 50 years in bag converting. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions for the markets we serve including: pet products, lawn & garden, nutraceuticals, tobacco, seafood, frozen food, poultry, confectionary, salty snacks, consumer disposables, tapes, feminine hygiene, diapers & health care.

Printing Processes used at this facility:
PPI offers state of the art award winning process printing with the latest 10 color gearless sleeve presses, Smart GPS technology and First Certified press operators. Our in-house support includes a totally digital workflow for pre-press and plate- making, including digital and conventional flat plates, along with ITR (In the Round) print sleeves. Our capabilities include surface or reverse printing for line or process, including extended gamut. PPI recycles 95% of our film waste and reclaims 70% of our printing solvents. Technical support and quality control are involved in all phases of our operation.

The SGP Printer certification verifies conformance with the SGP Printer criteria. The SGP Partnership does not validate any other marketing claims, such as carbon neutrality or conformance with other EHS certification programs.
