We are a commercial printing company producing multi-color Annual Reports, Corporate Identities, Direct Mail, General Printing, Product Boxes, Project Printing and Sustainable Promotional Items. Consolidated is well known for our project printing, some of the projects we have handled are the opening of the Clinton Library, the State of Illinois 2003 and 2007 Inaugurations, the transition stationery needs of President Obama and Vice President Biden and the Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid Material.

Printing processes used as this facility:
We are a full service commercial printing company running a prepress department that is computer to plate and chemical free, CIP3 (setting color information from computer directly to press). Our printing equipment is sheet fed with perfecting capabilities, Jet envelope printing, digital printing with variable data and a state of the art bindery. All of our printing equipment runs with our natural processes with 100% wind power, the digital equipment is fuser oil free with same size toner. Our natural processes are American made.

Consolidated Printing is nationally recognized as the pioneer of green printing. In 1973 Marilyn Jones owner of Consolidated Printing realized the printing process contained many hazardous chemicals and began the search for safer alternatives…and our Printedgreen™ process was born.
Our Printedgreen™ process has no hazardous waste, or waste water, and no hazardous air pollution. We reuse or recycle 100% of our paper waste, we have eliminated petroleum 100%, and we have zero carcinogens with no detectable lead or other toxic heavy metals in our ink; also our ink does not migrate. We have been inspected by numerous agencies and we are told we are unique in the country in the use of this natural system.

In 1997 we were recognized by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and named Illinois First Great Printer. Since 1997 we have received Pollution Prevention and Sustainability awards from four Illinois Governors, two Market Transformation Awards for Green Products and Green Practices from Mayor Daley and the City of Chicago Department of Environment. Consolidated Printing is active in the community serving on many boards and committees to promote sustainability. Shane Anderson, Operations Manager of our company is on the Board of the Sustainable Green Print Partnership (SGP). Marilyn Jones is the winner of the Printing Industry of America’s 2008 William D. Schaeffer Environment Award. We have been awarded many national and local printing awards for quality printing. Our environmental passion includes the build out of our offices and other materials used in our plant. We purchase lighting, carpeting insulation, exit signs, etc. by researching the most sustainable products available.
